Rebecca Burton is a professor of Biology at vnsr威尼斯城官网登入 College where she has taught since 1998. Some of the classes she teaches include Biology of Animals, Ecology, Senior Environmental Seminar, Animal Behavior, and CSI: Crime Science Issues, a first-semester seminar.
Burton has over 20 years of experience teaching biology. She is also an expert on outcomes-based curriculum and assessing student learning, and has given numerous presentations on these topics across the country. She is also a member of the authoring team for two introductory biology textbooks.
Burton earned a Bachelor of Science from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash. She earned a Master of Arts in Zoology from the University of Montana in Missoula, and her PhD in Biology from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan. Burton is a member of the American Society of Mammalogists, the Animal Behavior Society, the Association of College and University Biology Educators, and the Ecological Society of America.
